Narooma has many public boat ramps launching onto both the inlet and ocean – Fishing enthusiasts can hire tinnies or take one of the many guided inlet or ocean tours. It is also surrounded by lakes which lend themselves to water-skiing, kayaking and canoeing. Corunna Lake is particularly popular with the more energetic water-sport enthusiasts.
If you are taking out a boat, make sure you familiarize yourself with the local conditions, in particular the Narooma Bar.
Wagonga Inlet is perfect for kayaking. Fair weather kayakers can paddle lazily across the inlet and stop off for refreshments at one of the waterfront marina cafes. But the inlet stretches some 10km inland, providing serious kayakers with a workout in one of the most peaceful settings imaginable.
