Narooma Community Garden

Situated at the north end of the Narooma Public School, beside the oval, the garden is open to visitors and potential members on Sundays from  10 to 12 noon.

The garden features a large wire covered enclosure and numerous beds in which are grown a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and herbs.
The project got underway with a grant from the Sustaining Our Towns program (funded by the NSW Environmental Trust).

Finding suitable available land for a garden in Narooma proved difficult and when the Narooma Public School offered space in the school grounds it was gratefully accepted. Work on the garden began in February 2011 and is ongoing.

The garden is a credit to its volunteers who not only tend the garden but
work to raise funds for its construction and maintenance.
