The Narooma District Chamber of Commerce is a strong group of around 150 local businesses which is non-political, forward thinking and dedicated to the betterment of the town and district.
Projects include: The Narooma Oyster Festival, The Monties Business Awards, the www.narooma.org.au website and The Narooma BoatsAfloat wooden boat festival. |

so what does the Chamber do?
• It encourages business growth and supports business and community needs
• It promotes the Narooma district as a quality tourist destination
• It organises or helps with the running and promotion of events including the Oyster Festival in May, the Narooma BoatsAfloat wooden boat festival in November, Carols by Candlelight and other key events
• It runs the biannual business awards – ‘The Monties’
• It improves Narooma as a place to visit, work and live through proactive consultation with key stakeholders
• It helps with the process of relevant consumer research – designed to improve the ‘Narooma Experience’
• It develops or links into co-operative marketing, media and publicity opportunities
• It provides regular communication of district and business information to its members
• It holds monthly Chamber meetings
• It supports agreed community projects and requests
• It strives to ensure that the business community has a voice within local and state politics
• It strives to ensure that members receive good value for their annual membership

As a member of the Chamber of Commerce you can expect the following:
• Ongoing support from the Chamber – being part of a positive and pro-active business group can be very beneficial, we see ourselves as a support network.
• Regular news updates – this has been seen by many members as invaluable. What’s happening, what are the opportunities, Chamber minutes, business planning, free seminars, customer service worshops etc. All communicated directly to you.
• The opportunity to attend monthly Chamber meetings – a professional and dynamic meeting run to a strict agenda and includes presentations from relevant groups – from census overviews to major town developments…it’s where you need to be to keep up-to-date with business happenings in town. We also have drinks afterwards to provide an informal networking opportunity.
• Free website listing on www.narooma.org.au and a free email address if required.

All of this for only $99 per year (inc GST) including the free webpage.
And if you are a new business to the district we will give you the first year’s membership for just $44 (inc GST) which covers the cost of your website page set up on www.narooma.org.au - ie free membership as a ‘Welcome to the Narooma District’.

Chamber meeting schedule and membership list
Our meetings are generally on the first Tuesday of every month at 7pm at the Narooma Sporting and Services Club venue.
